Stuart Community Church

The Stuart Community Church is a Christian church serving the Protestants of the Stuart area. We are a family committed to the spiritual growth and fellowship of people of all ages, diverse culture, and denominational backgrounds in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Stuart Community church is an outgrowth of the town's original Presbyterian and Methodist churches founded over 100 years ago. In 1950, the present arrangement was completed forming the present Community Church, the only Protestant church within 10 miles. The Presbyterian form of government was chosen because of the long and close relationship with the Cleveland Presbyterian Church north of town.
Sunday Worship Service is at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday evening Christian Education for all youth with dinner is at 6:30 P.M. A community wide, Vacation Bible School is held annually in the summer, and is co-sponsored by the Stuart Community Church and St. Boniface Catholic Church.
The men of the church hold a Pancake and Sausage supper on Shrove Tuesday each year as a fundraiser for the needs of the church.
The Presbyterian Women's organization, (PW) is very active. They meet every second Thursday of every other month. A World Day of Prayer is held jointly with St. Boniface Catholic Church, and alternates churches each year. The Presbyterian Women serve funeral dinners when needed. The (PW) group, through their fundraising efforts, supports the on-going needs of the Church. The Deacons are the care-givers of the church and continually minister to all those in need.
The Cleveland Presbyterian Bible Camp, located twenty miles north of Stuart, is a joint project of the Stuart, Atkinson, O'Neill and Bethany Presbyterian Churches. This camp provides opportunities for individual guidance and Christian teaching. The camp is non-denominational and open to all youth and parents, youth age's kindergarten through eighth grade. The campgrounds are also available for events such as family reunions, weddings, anniversaries, etc. It is open to anyone; a donation can be made to the camp for the use.
The current Pastor is Wayne Owens.
