Stuart Community Foundation

The Stuart Community Foundation was established in 2000 as an affiliate of the Nebraska Community Foundation, Inc., providing our local foundation with the 501C 3 tax status. This insures that all gifts received are fully tax deductible.

The Foundation was established to provide a way to keep charitable donations in our community. Gifts can be designated to specific purposes such as education, recreation, museum, park, scholarships or economic development activities.

The Nebraska Community Foundation will assist the Stuart Community Foundation and will encourage every individual to consider contributing 5% of their estate back to the community in lieu of transferring assets out of Stuart and other rural communities. This is a modest request if you consider the education, activities and social services that each of us have received in our small communities.

The projected goal for the Stuart Community Endowment Fund is $500,000.00. This would provide $25,000.00 benefit to the community each year for training, education and community development. The board members would like to encourage donations to the Stuart Endowment Fund by creating a Founders Club.
