The first monthly meeting for a Holt County Extension Club was held November, 1961 with 10 members. Our group had grown to 19 and as of April 2005, was back to 10 members. 3 of the original members are still active. Theo Kohle, Helen Kunz and Buttons Davis.

Kim EstesOur group has been an Extension club, to FCE to the final group in the Holt County Area. We still meet monthly, set goals and have many fund raisers for community projects. During the years the club has donated to projects such as:

Club members have had foster children, exchange students, adopted children and have children serving in the armed forces and Iraq.
The first money raiser for club was a Chinese Auction, a Quilt Show, Craft Fair and a 30 year cookbook from members, to selling chances on a quilt for 4th of July and a 45 year cookbook.
The members enjoy meeting together, giving club support, exchanging ideas and most of all helping the community grow.
